July 11, 2007: Arrest Notices 7/4/07 - 7/7/07

Traffic Arrests- On 7/4/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 2300 block of 9th Street for speeding. The driver, Nick R. Stevens, 28, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for DUI. Stevens was cited for speeding, DUI, DUI over .08, and improper lane usage. Stevens was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 7/6/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 9th Street and Lewis Avenue for no rear registration light. The driver, Rene Ramirez, 18, of Waukegan was arrested for possession of cannabis. Ramirez was cited for no rear registration light, possession of cannabis, and possession of fireworks. Ramirez was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 7/6/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at Lewis Avenue and Russell Road for no front license plate. The driver, Alexander S. Diaz, 27, of Kenosha was arrested for driving while his license was suspended. Diaz was cited for no front plate, improper use of registration, uninsured vehicle, and driving with a suspended license. Diaz was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. Aggravated Assault Arrest- On 7/7/07, Officers went to the 1100 block of Sheridan Road for a report of a man with a sword. The man was reported to have broken out some car windows and had threaten to kill a woman with the sword. Upon the Officers arrival, Calvin P. Glover, 47, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested. Glover was charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. Glover was later transported to the Lake County Jail and was being held on a $10,000 bond.
