Traffic Arrests- On 8/28/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Lewis Avenue for no rear registration light. The driver, Darius D. Wesley, 31, of Pleasant Prairie was arrested for DUI. Wesley was cited for DUI, DUI over .08, and possession of cannabis. Wesley was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 8/28/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle on Lewis Avenue for following to closely to another vehicle. The driver, Alvaro Duran-Ornelas, 28, of Kenosha was arrested for driving while his license was suspended. Duran-Ornelas was also cited for having no valid insurance. Duran-Ornelas was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 8/31/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1700 block of Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, Nanette E. Johnson, 45, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for DUI. Johnson was also cited for no valid insurance. Johnson was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 9/1/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 2nd Street and Sheridan Road for no rear registration light. The driver, Christopher S. Tully, 19, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Tully was also cited for driving while his license was suspended and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Tully was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 9/1/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Coral N. Fuentes, 26, of Waukegan was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Fuentes was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 9/2/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 5th Street and Lewis Avenue for no rear registration light. The driver, Stefanie E. Staton, 31, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Staton was also cited for DUI over .08. Staton was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. Sex Offender Arrest- On 8/29/07, members
of the Winthrop Harbor Sex Crime's Unit went to a local business
located in the 900 block of Sheridan Road and arrested, Joshua
R. Rodriguez, 30, of Zion. Rodriguez is a sexual predator and
failed to register his new employment with the Police Department
which is required by State law. Rodriguez was charged with a
felony and was later transported to the Lake County Jail. |
