September 24, 2007: Arrest Notices 9/17/07 - 9/22/07

Traffic Arrests- On 9/17/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 9th Street and Lewis Avenue for speeding. The driver, Veronica M. Ritter, 24, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Ritter was also charged with driving with a revoked license, no vehicle insurance, and possession of a controlled substance. Ritter was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 9/18/07, an Officer while working contracted services in Wadsworth stopped a vehicle at Highway 41 and Route 173 for improper lane usage. The driver, Margarito Fuentes, 23, of Kenosha was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Fuentes was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 9/18/07, an Officer while working contracted services in Wadsworth stopped a vehicle in the 41,000 block of Highway 41 for improper lane usage. The driver, John P. Redmond, 46, of Wadsworth was arrested for DUI. Redmond was cited for driving with a revoked license (felony enhanced), no seat belt, and expired registration. Redmond was later transported to the Lake County Jail and was being held on a $25,000 cash bond. On 9/22/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Lewis Avenue for no rear registration light. The driver, Louis W. Venturi, 19, of Zion was arrested for DUI. Venturi was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, illegal transportation of alcohol, minor in possession of alcohol, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Venturi was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. Warrant Arrests- On 9/18/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 42,000 block of Lewis Avenue for improper lane usage. The driver, Robert R. Terrell, 28, of Zion was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Kenosha Police Department for possession of cannabis. Terrell was also charged with driving with a revoked license, no vehicle insurance, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, and possession of cannabis. Terrell was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant. On 9/22/07, Daniel J. Kratovil, 20, of Waukegan was arrested when he came to the Winthrop Harbor Police Department regarding a custody dispute. While Officers were looking into the custody dispute it was discovered Kratovil had an outstanding warrant for domestic battery through the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Kratovil was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest- On 9/17/07, Officer's responded to the 1000 block of Landon Avenue for a disturbance call. Officer's arrested, Scott R. Oglesby, 40, of Winthrop Harbor for possession of drug paraphernalia. Oglesby was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. |
