PRESS RELEASE


October 26, 2007: Arrest Notices 10/8/07 - 10/19/07

Traffic Arrests-

On 10/8/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 9th Street and Washington Avenue for failure to dim headlights. The driver, Matthew T. Thor, 24, of Highland, MI was arrested for DUI. Thor was cited for DUI, DUI over .08, driving with a suspended license, and failure to dim headlights when required. Thor was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

On 10/11/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Sheridan Road for expired registration. The driver, Blaine L. Hauser, 21, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Hauser was cited for DUI, expired registration, and unlawful possession of cannabis. The passenger, Jose A. Rodriguez, 21, of Kenosha was also arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis. Both Hauser and Rodriguez were later released on a personal recognizance bond and given future court dates.

On 10/11/07, and Officer stopped a vehicle at 12th Street and Sheridan Road for no rear registration light. The driver, Robert F. Hogan, 19, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Hogan was cited for DUI, no rear registration light, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Hogan was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

On 10/13/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of Sheridan Road for no rear taillights. The driver, Pierre S. Renteria, 21, of Waukegan was arrested for DUI. Renteria was cited for DUI, DUI over .08, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Renteria was later transported to the Lake County Jail and is currently being held on bond.

On 10/15/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of Lewis Avenue for improper lane usage. The driver, Kyle A. Herzog, 19, of Kenosha was arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Herzog was cited for improper lane usage, no rear registration light, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Herzog was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

On 10/19/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Sheridan Road for suspended registration. The driver, Jimmie L. Shepard, 38, of Zion was arrested for DUI. Shepard was cited for DUI, driving with a suspended license, suspended registration, and improper display of registration. Shepard was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

Warrant Arrests-

On 10/10/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle on Sheridan Road for expired registration. The driver, Billy J. Marbury, 47, of Chicago for two outstanding warrants. The first warrant was through Naperville Police Department for forgery. The second warrant was through Darien Police Department for no valid driver's license. Marbury was later turned over to Naperville PD for the warrants.

On 10/16/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Sheridan Road for improper display of registration. The driver, Shawn P. Hennessy, 31, of Kenosha was arrested for an outstanding warrant through McHenry County Sheriff's Department for burglary. Hennessy was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant.

On 10/17/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road for expired registration. The driver, Hector E. Garibay, 32, of Kenosha was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Lake County Sheriff's Department for failing to appear in court. Garibay was cited for expired registration, driving with a revoked license, and obstruction justice. Garibay was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant.

On 10/18/07, an Officer was patrolling in the 900 block of Landon Avenue when he recognized a woman who currently had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Andrea L. Halstead, 38, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for an outstanding warrant though the Lake County Sheriff's Department for failing to appear in court. Halstead was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant.
