Traffic Arrests-
On 11/6/07, an Officer while working contracted services in Wadsworth
stopped a vehicle on Dilleys Road just South of Wadsworth Road
for suspended registration. The driver, Ramon Torres-Silva, 20,
of Kenosha was arrested for driving with a suspended driver license.
Torres-Silva was cited for suspended registration and driving
with a suspended license. Torres-Silva was later released on
a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.
On 11/7/07, an
Officer stopped a vehicle on Lewis Avenue for improper lane usage.
The driver, Nicholas J. Gross, 26, of Zion was arrested for DUI.
Gross was cited for improper lane usage, DUI, and DUI over .08.
Gross was later released on a personal recognizance bond and
given a future court date.
Drug Arrest-
On 11/10/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of
Franklin Avenue for no rear registration light. The driver, Joseph
M. Lenz, 22, of Racine was arrested for unlawful possession of
cannabis. Lenz was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis,
unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, and
unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Lenz was later released
on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.
Sex Offender Arrest-
On 11/7/07, a member of the Winthrop Harbor Sex Crimes Unit arrested,
Brian J. Farmer, 19, of Winthrop Harbor for failing to register
his employment with the Police Department. Farmer was charged
with a class 3 felony and was later transported to the Lake County
Jail for Bond Court.
