Traffic Arrests- On 11/23/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road for no rear registration light. The driver, Carolina Shelley, 42, of Zion was arrested for DUI. Shelley was cited for no rear registration light, no valid driver's license, DUI, and DUI over .08. Shelley was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 11/24/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, Carolyn M. Gorsuch, 41, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Gorsuch was cited for improper lane usage, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license was revoked, and DUI (felony enhanced). Gorsuch was later transported to the Lake County Jail for bond court. On 11/25/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 7th Street and Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, Calvin Hearton, 48, of Zion was arrested for DUI. Hearton was cited for improper lane usage, failure to signal when required, DUI (felony enhanced), and driving while license was revoked. Hearton was later transported to the Lake County Jail for bond court. Warrant Arrests- On 11/25/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 2nd Street and Sheridan Road for a seat belt violation. The driver, Jack H. Schumacher, 26, of Kenosha was arrested for an outstanding warrants for attempted possession of a controlled substance and obstructing justice though the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Schumacher was cited for a seat violation, illegal transportation of alcohol, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes. Schumacher was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrants. |
