December 12, 2007: Arrest Notices 12/3/07 - 12/7/07

Traffic Arrests- On 12/3/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Benjie Kidd, 43, of Racine was arrested for DUI. Kidd was cited for speeding, improper lane usage, DUI, and DUI over .08. Kidd was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 12/7/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of Lewis Avenue for a broken taillight. The driver, Ruben Cruz-Marroquin, 35, of Pleasant Prairie was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Cruz-Marroquin was cited for having a broken taillight, muffler violation, and identity theft. Cruz-Marroquin was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 12/7/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, Darnell L. Williams, 19, of Zion was arrested for DUI. Williams was cited for improper lane usage, unlawful use of weapon, and DUI. Williams was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 12/8/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, Jorge Rios, 26, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Rios was cited for improper lane usage, DUI, and DUI over .08. Rios was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. Theft of Motor Vehicle's Arrest- On 12/2/07, Officers took two reports of motor vehicle theft. On 12/6/07, Winthrop Harbor Detectives arrested a 16 year old juvenile who was responsible for the car thefts. The juvenile was charged with two counts of theft of motor vehicle and one count of burglary to a motor vehicle. The juvenile was later transported to the Depke Juvenile Detention Center in Vernon Hills. Sex Offender Arrest- On 12/3/07, members of the Winthrop Harbor Sex Crimes Unit arrested Ryan D. Rock, 26, of Winthrop Harbor. Rock was charged with two counts of failure to register as a sex offender. Rock was later transported to the Lake County Jail where he was being held on $1,000 bond. Warrant Arrests- On 12/5/07, Officer's were investigating a theft of a motor vehicle when they came in contact with, Anthony J. Regal, 37, of Winthrop Harbor. Regal was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Lake County Sheriff's Department for a parole violation. Regal was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant. On 12/6/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of College Avenue for suspended registration. The driver, Jeffrey C. Kuechle, 45, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Lake County Sheriff's Department for possession of cannabis. Kuechle was cited for suspended registration, attempted obstructing justice, and failure to use turn signal when required. Kuechle was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant. On 12/7/07, an Officer stopped a vehicle at Sheridan Road and Burke Drive for no rear license plate. The passenger of the vehicle, Jared K. Wingham, 19, of Beach Park was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Winthrop Harbor Police Department for battery. Wingham was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant.
