Traffic Arrests- On 3/18/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 7th Street and Sheridan Road for failing to use turn signal. The driver, Tiffany L. Long, 21, of Beach Park was arrested for DUI. Long was cited for DUI, failure to use turn signal when required, DUI over .08, driving while license was suspended, and no vehicle insurance. Long was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 3/19/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Sheridan Road for suspended registration. The driver, Angela N. Sutton, 26, of Kenosha was arrested for driving while her license was suspended. Sutton was cited for suspended registration, driving with a suspended license, and no vehicle insurance. Sutton was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 3/19/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Sheridan Road for failing to dim headlights. The driver, Freddie J. Ponzio, 50, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for DUI. Ponzio was cited for failure to dim headlights and DUI (felony enhanced). Ponzio was later transported to the Lake County Jail for Bond Court. On 3/20/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, Sangeeta J. Bedi, 23, of Kenosha was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis. Bedi was cited for improper lane usage, unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of drug equipment, failure to wear seat belt, and illegal transportation of alcohol. Bedi was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. On 3/26/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Joey A. Willis, 34, of Kenosha was arrested for DUI. Willis was cited for speeding, improper lane usage, DUI, and DUI over .08. Willis was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date. |
