5/29/08, a driver who was traveling in the 100 block of Sheridan
Road suffered a heart attack. The victim, identified as Arthur
P. Leonard, 53, of Lake Bluff, was driving Southbound when his
vehicle left the roadway and struck the "Welcome to Winthrop
Harbor" sign. The vehicle came to a stop after striking
several trees located on the West side of Sheridan Road. Police
and Fire/Rescue personal responded immidiately to the scene,
and transported Leonard to the hospital where he was later pronounced
dead. |
