PRESS RELEASE


July 21, 2008: Arrest Notices 7/15/08- 7/19/08

Traffic Arrest-
On 7/16/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Lewis Avenue for speeding. The driver, William E. Dill, 55, of Zion was arrested for DUI. Dill also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through Wisconsin for a parole violation. Dill was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant.

On 7/19/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle at Roberts Road and 9th Street for improper lane usage. The driver, Donald c. Hyden, 35, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for DUI. Hyden was cited for DUI (felony enhanced), disobeying a stop sign, seat belt violation, driving an uninsured vehicle, and driving while his license was suspended (felony enhanced). Hyden was later transported to the Lake County Jail for Bond Court.

Public Intoxication Arrest-
On 7/15/08, Officer's were dispatched to the 700 block of North Point Marina Drive for a report of an intoxicated person. Upon the Officer's arrival they came in contact with, Ryan F. Groh, 21, of Winthrop Harbor. A short time later Groh was arrested and cited for public intoxication, unlawful possession of cannabis, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Groh was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

Battery Arrest-
On 7/15/08, Officer's were dispatched to the 900 block of Landon Avenue for a report of a fight. Upon the Officer's arrival they came in contact with, Robert W. Kranz, 43, of Winthrop Harbor. Kranz was arrested a short time later for battery. Kranz was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

Warrant Arrest-
On 7/17/08, Officer's were dispatched to the 1000 block of Sheridan Road for a report of someone needing medical attention. While the Officer's were at the scene they came in contact with, Jana L. Chand-Medlock, 37, of Milwaukee. It was discovered Chand-Medlock had an outstanding warrant for her arrest through Wisconsin for a parole violation. Chand-Medlock was later transported to the Lake County for the warrant.
