Traffic Arrest-
On 8/7/08, Officer's were dispatched to the 2800 block of 12th
Street for a domestic disturbance. Upon the Officer's arrival
they came in contact with, Holly L. Russell, 22, of Winthrop
Harbor and Eric F. Busch, 21, of Beach Park. Russell was illegally
parked and was still in her vehicle when Officer's made contact
with her. Busch was in the roadway yelling at Russell when Officer's
were investigating the incident. Russell and Busch were both
arrested and transported to the Winthrop Harbor Police Department
for processing. Russell was charged with DUI and improper parking.
Busch was charged with public intoxication. Russell and Busch
were later released on personal recognizance bonds and were given
future court dates.
Warrant Arrest-
On 8/6/08, an Officer while working contacted services in Old
Mill Creek stopped a truck at Route 45 and Milburn Road for being
over weight. The driver, Chris H. Franke, 48, of Lake Villa was
arrested for driving while his license was suspended. Franke
also had an active warrant for his arrest through the McHenry
County Sheriff's Department for failing to appear in court for
traffic offenses. Franke was able to post bond for the warrant
and was released from the Winthrop Harbor Police Department.
Disorderly Conduct Arrest-
On 8/6/08, Officer's were dispatched to a business which was
located in the 800 block of Sheridan Road for a disorderly person.
Upon the Officer's arrival they came in contact with, Donna L.
Walsh, 46, of Winthrop Harbor. A short time later Walsh was arrested
for disorderly conduct. Walsh was later released on a personal
recognizance bond and given a future court date.
Robbery Arrest-
On 8/6/08, Officer's were dispatched to a business located in
the 300 block of Sheridan Road for a report of a domestic battery
and robbery. Upon the Officer's arrival the victim told Officer's
his son had battered him and pushed him down on a bed. The victim's
son then took $50 dollars from the victim by force. The Officer's
a short time later located the suspect in the 300 block of Sheridan
Road at a local restaurant. The suspect, Jeffrey A. Herrell,
52, of Inverness was arrested and charged with Robbery and Domestic
Battery. Herrell was later transported to the Lake County Jail
for Bond Court.
Drug Arrest-
On 8/10/08, Officer's were in the 1300 block of Franklin Avenue
for a suspicious person report when they came in contact with,
Emily D. Machonga, 18, of Winthrop Harbor. Machonga was arrested
for unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of
drug paraphernalia. Machonga was later released on a personal
recognizance bond and given a future court date.
