Traffic Arrest-
On 8/16/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of
Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, John L. Piazza,
59, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for DUI. Piazza was also
cited for DUI over .08. Piazza was later released on a personal
recognizance bond and given a future court date.
Criminal Damage to State
Supported Property Arrest-
On 8/17/08, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Sheridan
Road for a report of a man striking village signs with a wood
board. A short time later, Christopher M. Thorn, 21, of Waukegan
was arrested and charged with criminal damage to state supported
property and disorderly conduct. Thorn was later released on
a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.
