September 4, 2008: Arrest Notices 8/30/08- 8/31/08

Resisting a Peace Officer Arrest-
On 8/30/08, an Officer while on patrol noticed two individuals leaving a gas station with alcohol. The Officer attempted to make contact with them since they looked underage. When the Officer made contact with them one of them took off running and the other was taken into custody after he fought with the Officer. Marcus F. Wilburn, 24, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested and cited for resisting a peace officer, public intoxication, and obstruction of justice. Wilburn was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest-
On 8/31/08, Officer's responded to the 1100 block of Sheridan Road after receiving an anonymous complaint about drug use in an apartment complex. Contact was made with, Clinton M. Hodge, 18, of Winthrop Harbor who was later arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Hodge was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

Public Intoxication Arrest-
On 8/31/08, an Officer was patrolling the area of 8th Street and Fulton Avenue when he made contact with, Matthew L. Swanson, 19, of Winthrop Harbor. Swanson was later arrested and cited for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and public intoxication. Swanson was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.
