PRESS RELEASE


September 22, 2008: Arrest Notices 9/11/08- 9/21/08

Traffic Arrest-
On 9/11/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, Tobin M. Hook, 37, of Beach Park was arrested for DUI. Hook was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

Battery Arrests-
On 9/19/08, while an Officer was on patrol in the 1000 block of Sheridan Road he heard yelling coming from an apartment complex. When the Officer went to investigate further he came in contact with, Ryan S. Bouy, 21, of Waukegan and Donte M. Broyles, 21, of Waukegan. A short time later Bouy and Broyles were both arrested for battery and criminal damage to property. Bouy and Broyles were later released on a personal recognizance bonds and given future court dates.

On 9/21/08, Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Fulton Avenue for a report of a battery that occurred there. When Officers arrived they arrested, Ronald R. Christian, 53, of Winthrop Harbor for battery. Christian was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

On 9/18/08, Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Park Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. A short time later, John E. Rantanen, 40, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for domestic battery, criminal damage to property, and theft. Rantanen was later transported to the Lake County Jail for Bond Court.

On 9/20/08, Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of 7th for a report of a fight in progress. Officers arrested a total of five individuals. The individuals arrested were, Scott L. Niemi, 32, of Zion for an outstanding warrant, Jerome R. Phillips, 31, of Zion for an outstanding warrant, David G. Torres, 26, of Winthrop Harbor for trespassing, Andrew J. Soto, 25, of North Chicago for disorderly conduct, and Erik R. Pardon, 29, of Beach Park for battery. Torres, Soto, and Pardon were later released on personal recognizance bonds and given future court dates. Niemi and Phillips were later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrants.

Warrant Arrest-
On 9/18/08, Officers arrested, Roger D. Wilson, 39, of Winthrop Harbor in the 1100 block of South Park Avenue after receiving information that Wilson had a warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was through the Lake County Sheriff's Department for failing to appear for court. Wilson was later transported to the Lake County Jail for the warrant.

Theft Arrests-
On 9/21/08, a concerned citizen reported he believed he saw two individuals steel two bicycles out of a yard just off of Sheridan Road. Officers located the two individuals in the 1000 block of Sheridan Road and made contact with them. A short time later, Brandon A. Brown, 18, of Waukegan and Anthony T. Brown, 19, of Waukegan were arrested for the theft of the bicycles. Brandon and Anthony were later released on personal recognizance bonds and were given future court dates.
