Traffic Arrests-
On 11/20/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 8th Street and Geddes
Avenue for a brunt out taillight. The driver, Matthew Durston,
21, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for DUI. Durston was also
cited for DUI over .08. Durston was later released on a personal
recognizance bond and given a future court date.
Fifteen Year Old Girl
Arrested for DUI
On 11/24/08, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of
Sheridan Road for improper lane usage. The driver, a fifteen
year old female from Park City was arrested for DUI. The female
was cited for DUI, DUI over .08 (BAC .139), no driver's license,
illegal transportation of alcohol, and illegal consumption of
alcohol by a minor. The passenger of the vehicle, Derrick G.
McDermott, 23, of Park City was also arrested. McDermott was
cited for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, permitting
an unlicensed person to drive intoxicated, and illegal transportation
of alcohol. The female and McDermott were later released on personal
recognizance bond and given future court date.
