PRESS RELEASE


January 13, 2009: Arrest Notices 1/7/09 - 1/10/09

Traffic Arrests-
On 1/7/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle at 7th Street and Sheridan Road for having an obstructed license plate. The driver, Shannon A. Mante, 34, of Waukegan was arrested for DUI. Mante was also cited for DUI over .08 (BAC .192), Mante was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

On 1/7/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road for suspended license plates. The driver, Bonita M. Strossner, 40, of Kenosha was arrested for driving while her license was revoked. Strossner was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

On 1/9/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Landon Avenue for improper lane usage and improper backing. The driver, Michael P. Veneigh, 47, of Winthrop Harbor was arrested for DUI. Veneigh was later released on a personal recognizance bond and given a future court date.

Warrant Arrests-
On 1/7/09, an Officer while patrolling in the 1100 block of Sheridan Road came in contact with, George Hernandez, 41, of Winthrop Harbor. It was later discovered Hernandez had a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear for court on a drug charge. The warrant was issued through the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Hernandez was later transported to the Lake County Jail where he was being held on a $20,000 cash bond.

On 1/8/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Sheridan Road for a seat belt violation. The driver, Donnie R. Cox, 53, of Pleasant Prairie was arrested for an outstanding warrant for forgery. The warrant was issued through the Lee County Sheriff's Department in Mississippi. Cox was later transported to the Lake County Jail where he will be held until he is extradited back to Mississippi.

Drug Paraphernalia Arrest-
On 1/10/09, an Officer came in contact with, Clinton M. Hodge, 19, of Winthrop Harbor in the 100 block of Sheridan Road. A short time later Hodge was arrested for unlawful consumption of liquor by a minor and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Hodge was later released on a personal recognizance bond and a future court date.
