June 9, 2009: Arrest Notices 6/3/09 - 6/5/09

Public Intoxication Arrest:
On 06/04/09, Officers were dispatched to the Marathon Gas Station, 901 Sheridan Road for a battery complaint. During the investigation the officer arrested Anthony W. Favell, 26, of Port Huron, MI for Public Intoxication. Favell was later released by a notice to appear pending a future court date.

Traffic Arrests-
On 06/03/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9th Street and Kenosha Road for an equipment violation. The driver, Anna C. Johnson, 21, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A search of the motor vehicle was conducted by the officer which resulted in the seizure of a small amount of cannabis and a cannabis smoking pipe. Johnson was charged with Defective Taillight, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Johnson was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date.

On 06/03/09, An Officer stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Thompson Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver, Josiah J. Schroeder, 23, of Zion was arrested for providing the officer with a fictitious name. Schroeder was charged with No Taillights, Operation of an Uninsured Vehicle, Driving While License Suspended, and Obstruction. Schroeder was later released by a Notice to Appear pending a future court date.

On 06/05/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1200 block of Fulton Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver, Edward J. Brosky, 43, of Winthrop Harbor was subsequently arrested after failing field sobriety tests. Brosky was charged with One Red Taillight and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Brosky was later released by his Illinois Driver's License and a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date.

On 06/05/09, An Officer while working a Wadsworth contract detail stopped a vehicle near the intersection of US Route 41 and Wadsworth Road for a lane violation. The driver, Rigoberto Ortiz-Valasquez, 22, of Round Lake Beach was arrested after the officer learned Ortiz-Valasquez had a Revoked Illinois Driver's License. Ortiz-Valasquez was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Operation of an Uninsured Vehicle, and Driving While License Revoked. Ortiz-Valasquez was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date.
