Traffic Arrests: On 06/14/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 14th Street and Aiken Court for Improper Lane Usage. The driver, Mia A. Corcoran, 35, of Waukegan was arrested after failing field sobriety testing. Corcoran was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Operation of an Uninsured Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Corcoran was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 06/14/09, an Officer received a complaint of a reckless driver near the intersection of 15th Street and Park Avenue. The complainant further advised he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed while "aiming" the vehicle at a pedestrian walking in the roadway. The complainant stated he then observed the pedestrian jumped into a ditch on the side of the road to avoid being struck by the suspects vehicle. Shortly thereafter, the officer located the offending vehicle and made contact with the driver. The driver, Leonard L. Casey, 56, of Zion was arrested after failing field sobriety testing. The officer reviewed the facts of the case / investigation with the Lake County States Attorney's Office. Casey was charged with Reckless Driving, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Driving While License Revoked (Class 4 Felony) and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (Class X Felony). Casey was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing. On 06/14/09,
an Officer received a complaint from a local gas station regarding
a subject who failed to pay for gas. Shortly thereafter, the
officer received a vehicle description and the officer subsequently
stopped the vehicle. The driver, Scott R. Haun, 36, of Kenosha,
Wisconsin was charged with Driving While License Revoked. Haun
later paid the local gas station the amount Haun owed for the
gas. Haun was later released on a Notice to Appear pending a
future court date. |
