Consumption of Liquor by Minor Arrest: On 07/24/09, an officer was investigating a suspicious person within the 1000 block of Sheridan Road. The suspect, Randy D. Dudek, 20, of Winthrop Harbor was subsequently taken into custody after the officer smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Dudek was charged with Unlawful Consumption of an Alcoholic Liquor by Minor. Dudek was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. Traffic Arrests: On 07/21/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9th Street and Roberts Road for speeding. The driver, Ahmad Y. Safi, 19, of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after providing the officer with a fictitious name. Ahmad was charged with Speeding, Driving While License Suspended, and Obstruction of Justice. Ahmad was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 07/22/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Lewis Avenue and 9th Street for a registration violation. The driver, a Juvenile, of Winthrop Harbor was subsequently taken into custody after the officer learned the Juvenile did not possess a valid driver's license. The Juvenile was charged with Expired Registration, Improper Display of Registration, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and No Valid Driver's License. The Juvenile was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 07/24/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9th Street and Lewis Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver, Omar Castellanos-Magallon, 27, of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing. Omar was charged with No Rear Registration Light, Failure to Display (Front License Plate), and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Omar was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 07/26/09,
an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9th Street
and Kenosha Road for a stop sign violation. The driver, Vianca
L. Castro, 19, of Gurnee was subsequently taken into custody
after failing field sobriety testing. Castro was charged with
Disobeyed a Stop Sign, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol,
and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08.
Castro was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending
a future court date. |
