Traffic Arrests- On 08/01/09, an Officer assigned to a Wadsworth contract detail stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9th Street and Delany Road for an equipment and lane violation. The driver, Cristian Lopez, 31, of North Chicago was subsequently arrested for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Lopez was charged with Improper Lighting, Improper Lane Usage, No Valid Driver's License, Operation of Motor Vehicle for non-insurance, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Lopez was later released on a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 08/02/09,
an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9th Street
and Kimberly Avenue for failure to signal. The driver, Whitney
M. McPherson, 19, of Beach Park was processed for Driving Under
the Influence of Alcohol (Zero Tolerance) and charged with Failure
to Signal When Required and Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by
Minor. McPherson was later released on a notice to appear pending
a future court date. |
