September 23, 2009: Arrest Notices 9/17/09 - 9/20/09

Public Intoxication: On 09/20/09, an Officer was dispatched to 900 block of Sheridan Road for an unwanted subject. The suspect, Brenda D. Sykes-Amey, 54, of Winthrop Harbor was subsequently taken into custody after the officer smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her person. Sykes-Amey was subsequently taken into custody. Sykes-Amey was charged with Public Intoxication. Sykes-Amey was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. Traffic Arrests: On 09/17/09, an officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9th Street and Ellis Avenue for loud exhaust. The driver, Ryan J. Landburg, 32, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the officer learned Landburg had a suspended driver's license. Landburg was charged with Loud Exhaust, Operation of Motor Vehicle while Registration was Suspended, and Driving While License Suspended. Landburg was later released by a Notice to Appear pending a future branch court date. On 09/18/09, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 100 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Wendy S. Ward, 31, of Trevor, Wisconsin was charged with Speeding and Driving While License Revoked. Ward was released by a Notice to Appear pending a future branch court date. On 09/20/09, an Officer stopped a bicycle not having any lights illuminated. The bicyclist, Clinton M. Hodge, 19, of Zion was subsequently taken into custody after the officer smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Hodge's breath. Hodge was subsequently taken into custody. Hodge was charged with No Lights on Bicycle and Unlawful Consumption of Liquor by Minor. Hodge was later released by a Notice to Appear pending a future court date. |
