December 1, 2009: Arrest Notices 11/22/09 - 12/1/09

Warrant Service: On 11/27/09, an Officer was dispatched at the Winthrop Harbor Police Department to investigate a custody dispute. During the course of the Officer's investigation, the Officer learned Tara L. Mills, 23, of Winthrop Harbor had an active Lake County Warrant for her arrest for Domestic Battery (failure to appear). Mills was subsequently taken into custody and later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing. Traffic Arrests: On 11/22/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 900 block of Lewis Avenue for only having one headlight illuminated. The driver, Antonio S. Romero, 23, of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after the officer learned Romero had a suspended Illinois Driver's License. Romero was charged with One Headlight, Operation of an Uninsured Vehicle, and Driving While License Suspended. Romero was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 11/22/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 100 block of Lewis Avenue for a lane violation. The driver, Moises Sanchez-Hernandez, 32 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the officer learned Sanchez-Hernandez had a Revoked Illinois Driver's License. Sanchez-Hernandez was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Operation of an Uninsured Vehicle, and Driving While License Revoked. Sanchez-Hernandez was later released by signature bond pending a future court date. On 11/28/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 100 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation. The driver, Julius D. White, 25, of Zion was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing. White was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Driving While License Suspended, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. White was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 11/29/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1000 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation and defective exhaust. The driver, Robert L. Vargas, 34, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing. Vargas was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Defective Exhaust, Driving While License Suspended, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Vargas was later released by an Individual bond pending a future court date. On 12/01/09,
an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Sheridan
Road and 2nd Street, after the officer identified the driver
from previous contacts for suspicion of having a suspended Illinois
Driver's License. The driver, Kathryn A. Jackson, 55, of Winthrop
Harbor was subsequently taken into custody after the officer
verified Jackson had a suspended Illinois Driver's License. Jackson
was charged with Driving While License Suspended. Jackson was
later released by a notice to appear pending a future court date. |
