January 4, 2010: Arrest Notices 12/25/09 - 12/31/09

Domestic Battery Arrest: On 12/31/09, Officers were dispatched within the 1400 block of Sheridan Road for a report of a domestic disturbance. After Officers arrived on scene, Jeffery A. Polcyn, 46, of Winthrop Harbor was subsequently taken into custody. The facts of the case was reviewed by the Lake County States Attorney's Office and Polcyn was later charged with Domestic Battery. Polcyn was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing. Traffic Arrests: On 12/25/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 11th Street and Lewis Avenue for not having a front license plate displayed on the vehicle. The driver, Matthew J. Arnst, 23, of Winthrop Harbor was issued a verbal warning for No Front License Plate. Arnst was charged with Driving While License Suspended. Arnst was released on scene by his signature pending a future court date. On 12/31/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 900 block of Lewis Avenue for expired registration. The driver, Gregory D. May, 33, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer learned May had a suspended Illinois Driver's License. May was charged with Operation of Motor Vehicle with Expired Registration and Driving While License Suspended. May was later released by his signature pending a future court date. On 12/31/09, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 900 block of Lewis Avenue for not having a front registration plate displayed on the vehicle. The driver, Raul A. Cardoza, 20, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody for consumption of liquor by minor. Cardoza was charged with No Front Registration Plate and Unlawful Consumption of Liquor by Minor. Cardoza was later released by a Notice to Appear pending a future court date. |
