Traffic Arrests: On 04/03/10, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 7th Street and Fulton Avenue for performing an illegal turn. The driver, Robert Harris, 31, of Zion was arrested after the officer verified his Illinois Driver's License was suspended. Harris was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Illegal Turn and Driving While License Suspended. Harris was later released by a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 04/03/10, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Russell Road and Sheridan Road for avoiding a traffic controlled device. The driver, Christopher J. Welch, 22, of Winthrop Harbor was subsequently arrested after failing field sobriety testing. Welch was charged with Avoiding a Traffic Controlled Device, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Welch was later released by an Individual bond for $1,000 USD pending a future court date. On 04/02/10, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 200 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Terry Coleman, 27, of Chicago was subsequently charged with Speeding and Driving While License Suspended. Coleman was later released on scene by a notice to appear pending a future court date. On 03/28/10, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 700 block of Sheridan Road for having a loud exhaust and no rear registration light. The driver, Albert Moore, 23, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing. A search was conducted inside of Moore's motor vehicle which resulted in the subsequent seizure of a small amount of cannabis. Moore was charged with Loud Exhaust, No Rear Registration Light, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, and Driving Under the Influence. Moore was later released by his Illinois Driver's License and a personal recognizance bond pending a future court date. On 03/27/10,
an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 11th Street
and Fulton Avenue for loud exhaust and no rear registration light.
The driver, Scott R. Oglesby, 42, of Winthrop Harbor was subsequently
taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing. Oglesby
was charged with Loud Exhaust, No Rear Registration Light, No
Proof of Vehicle Insurance, and Driving Under the Influence of
Alcohol. Oglesby was later released by his Illinois Driver's
License and a personal recognizance bond pending a future court
date. |
