PRESS RELEASE


January 11, 2011: Arrest Notices 1/5/11 - 1/8/11

Warrant Arrests:

On 01/05/2011, an Officer was dispatched within the 800 block of Sheridan Road for a battery investigation. The Officer later made contact with a subject, Tiffany S. Larsen, 23, of Winthrop Harbor. After the Officer conducted a warrant check; the Officer learned there was an active Lake County Warrant for Larsen. Larsen was subsequently taken into custody and transported to The Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

On 01/05/2011, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Winthrop Harbor Police Department for a subject that wanted to speak to Officers in reference to locating his car keys. The Officer made contact with the subject, Timothy G. Larsen, 25, of Winthrop Harbor. After the Officer conducted a warrant check; the Officer learned there was an active Lake County Warrant for Larsen. Larsen was subsequently taken into custody and escorted to the Winthrop Harbor Police Department booking room. During the booking process of Larsen; the Officer located a small plastic bag containing purported cannabis and a cannabis pipe on Larsen's possession. Larsen was issued adjudication citations for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Larsen was later transported to The Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

Traffic Arrests:

On 01/08/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1100 block of Lewis Avenue for speeding. After the Officer made contact with the driver, Barbara J. Amann, 42, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, the Officer could smell the odor of cannabis coming from inside of the motor vehicle. The Officer located a glass cannabis pipe in the inside coat pocket of Amann. The Officer further seized a small plastic bag containing cannabis inside of the motor vehicle. Amann was subsequently taken into custody, transported to The Winthrop Harbor Police Department where Amann failed field sobriety testing. Amann was charged with Speeding, No Driver's License on Person, Operation of Motor Vehicle While Registration Suspended, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs. Amann was later released by an Individual Bond pending a future court date.
