May 17, 2011: Arrest Notices 5/11/11 - 5/16/11

Traffic Arrests:

On 05/11/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 700 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation. The driver, Henry Hammond, 38, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Hammond was charged with Improper Lane Usage, No Valid Registration, Violation of License Classification, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Hammond was later by a personal recognizance bond pending a future branch court date.

On 05/11/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 1100 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Cristian Uriostegui-Hernandez, 21, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer confirmed he didn't have a valid driver's license. Uriostegui-Hernandez was charged with Speeding, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and No Valid Driver's License. Uriostegui-Hernandez was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

On 05/13/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 11th Street and Lewis Avenue for a safety belt violation. The driver, Mary M. Oliak, 31, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer confirmed she had a revoked Illinois Driver's License. Oliak was charged with Failure to Wear Seat Belt, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Revoked. Oliak was later released by her signature pending a future branch court date.

On 05/13/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 1400 block of Sheridan Road for not having a front registration plate displayed on the motor vehicle. The driver, James W. Trevino, 25 of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after the officer verified Trevino's driver's license was suspended. Trevino was charged with Failure to Display a Front Registration Plate, Obstructed Rear Registration Plate, and Driving While License Suspended. Trevino was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

On 05/13/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 9h Street and Sheridan Road for a registration violation. The driver, James L. Judkins, 50, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer confirmed he had a suspended Illinois Driver's License. Judkins was issued citations for Unlawful Display of Vehicle Registration Not Authorized to Use on Such Vehicle, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Suspended. Judkins was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date

On 05/15/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 1200 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Orles E. Lezama-Matamoros, 26, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the officer verified Lezama-Matamoros's driver's license was suspended. Lezama-Matamoros was issued citations for Speeding, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Suspended. Lezama-Matamoros was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

On 05/15/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 800 block of Sheridan Road for a safety belt violation. The driver, Tara M. Creighton, 28, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the officer verified her driver's license was suspended. Creighton was issued citations for Failure to Wear Seat Belt, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Operation of Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration, and Driving While License Suspended. Creighton was later released by her signature pending a future branch court date.

Theft:

On 05/16/2011, an Officer was dispatched to The Winthrop Harbor Police Department regarding a theft complaint. The complainant advised some unknown person(s) took a fishing line and the keys to his water craft without his consent. The complaint valued the theft at approximately $500.00 USD.
