On 07/31/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 400 block of Sheridan Road for having only one headlight illuminated. The driver, Fertis J. Cook, 47, of Racine, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody for having a revoked Illinois Driver's License. A search of the motor vehicle was conducted by the Officer which revealed a cannabis grinder and a small amount of cannabis. Cook later failed field sobriety tests. Cook was charged with Only One Headlight, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License Revoked, and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs. Cook was later released by his signature pending a future court date.
On 07/31/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation. The driver, Holly R. Sarbacker, 33, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Sarbacker was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Notify SOS of Change of Address, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Sarbacker was later released by her signature pending a future court date.
On 07/31/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Russell Road and Holdridge Avenue for having only one headlight illuminated. The driver, A Juvenile, 17, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer located a small amount of cannabis in the ashtray compartment. The 17 year old juvenile was charged with Only One Headlight, Possession of Cannabis, and Underage Consumption of Alcohol. The 17 year old juvenile was later released to a parent pending a future branch court date.
On 07/28/2011, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby at the Winthrop Harbor Police Department related to a report of a residential burglary. The complainant advised he resides within the 1700 block of 8th Street. The complainant further advised he left his front door unlocked and when he returned he observed his Sony 32 inch flat screen LCD TV was missing from his residence without his consent.
