PRESS RELEASE


October 11, 2011: Arrest Notices 10/4/11 - 10/8/11

Traffic Arrests:

On 10/04/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 600 block of Sheridan Road for a seat belt and expired registration violations. The driver, Dain Donoe, 18, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified he had an active in-state warrant for his arrest. Donoe was charged with Failure to wear seatbelt, Expired Registration, and Operation of Uninsured Vehicle. Donoe was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

On 10/06/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 300 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation. The driver, Levernon Stewart, 29, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his driver's license was revoked. Stewart was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Revoked. Stewart was later released by a notice to appear.

On 10/7/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 200 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, James T. Theodore, 52, of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Theodore was charged with Speeding and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Theodore was later released by his signature pending a future court date.

On 10/08/2011, an officer stopped a vehicle within the 900 block of Sheridan Road for a registration violation. The driver, Raven A. Epps, 22, of Zion was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his driver's license was suspended. A search of the motor vehicle was conducted by the Officer which resulted in the subsequent seizure of cannabis and a cannabis. Epps was charged with Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Driving While License Suspended, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Epps was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

Credit Card Fraud:

On 10/04/2011, an Officer was dispatched within the 200 block of Old Darby Lane for a credit card fraud complaint. The complaint advised his credit card was used to make online purchases without his consent. The complainant further advised approximately $130.00 USD in purchases were made.
