November 8, 2011: Arrest Notices 11/2/11 - 11/7/11

Traffic Arrests:

On 11/02/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 300 block of Sheridan Road for Speeding. The driver, Pedro Ocote, 20, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified he didn't have a valid Illinois Driver's License. Ocote was charged with Speeding, Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and No Valid Driver's License. Ocote was later released on scene by his signature pending a future court date.

On 11/05/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 3200 block of 9th Street for Speeding. The driver, Christopher J. Merz, 52, of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing. Merz was charged with Speeding, Failure to Notify Secretary of States Office with Change of Address, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Merz was later released by his signature pending a future court date.

On 11/06/2011 an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 600 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation. The driver, Brenda Merida-Ramirez ,38, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Merida-Ramirez was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Merida-Ramirez was later released by her signature pending a future court date.

On 11/07/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1000 block of Sheridan Road for Speeding. The driver, Oscar Gonzalez-Escobar, 28, of Bristol, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his Illinois Driver's License was Suspended. Gonzalez-Escobar was charged with Speeding, Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Suspended. Gonzalez-Escobar was later released by his signature pending a future court date.
