November 12, 2011: Arrest Notices 11/9/11 - 11/18/11

Traffic Arrests:

On 11/09/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 14th Street and Sheridan Road for a registration violation. The driver, Carolina Martinez, 48, of Racine, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer confirmed she had a suspended Wisconsin Driver's License. Martinez was charged with Operation of Motor Vehicle While Registration Suspended and Driving While License Suspended. Martinez was later released by her signature pending a future branch court date.

On 11/13/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 2nd Street and Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Leslie M. Duckett, 48, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Duckett was charged with Speeding, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Duckett was later released by her signature pending a future court date.

On 11/18/2011, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 10th Street and Sheridan Road for Speeding. The driver, Carson Moll, 30, of Racine, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer confirmed he had a suspended Wisconsin Driver's License. Moll was charged with Speeding and Driving While License Suspended. Moll was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

Criminal Damage to Property:

On 11/12/2011, an Officer was dispatched within the 1200 block of Pennsylvania related to a criminal damage to property report. The complainant advised some unknown person(s) damaged his brown aluminum mailbox and wooded mailbox by striking the mailboxes with a pumpkin. The damage was estimated at approximately $150.00 USD.

Burglary Attempt:

On 11/15/2011, an Officer was dispatched within the 100 block of Sheridan Road for a report of an attempted burglary. The complaint advised some unknown person(s) attempted to gain entry to his business through the window but was unsuccessful.

Credit Card Fraud:

On 11/17/2011, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby at the Winthrop Harbor Police Department to take a credit card fraud complaint. The complainant advised some unknown person(s) used his credit card number to make an online purchase in the amount of $18.00.
