March 5, 2012: Arrest Notices 3/1/12 - 3/4/12

Traffic Arrest(s):

On 03/012012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 600 block of Sheridan Road for having an obstructed windshield. The driver, Jerry L. Rigby, 31, of Racine, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer confirmed he had a revoked Illinois Driver's License. Rigby was issued citations for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While License Revoked. Rigby was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

On 03/02/2012, an Officer observed a motor vehicle parked on the side of the road near the intersection of 9th Street and Whitney Avenue. The driver, Samantha JO Welch, 24, of Zion was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Welch was issued citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Welch was later released by her signature pending a further court date.

On 03/02/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1400 block of Lewis Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver, Guillermo Gallegos, 28, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his Wisconsin Driver's License was suspended. Gallegos was issued citations for Cracked Taillight and Driving While License Suspended. Gallegos was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

On 03/04/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1600 block of Sheridan Road for Speeding. The driver, Maria C. Puentes, 33, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified her Wisconsin Driver's License was suspended. Puentes was issued citations for Speeding and Driving While License Suspended. Puentes was later released by her signature pending a future branch court date.

Theft Report:

On 03/02/2012, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby at The Winthrop Harbor Police Department to take a theft report. The complainant advised some known subject(s) entered the yard to their residence without consent and took a Hero, Model 2008, BMX bicycle which contained 20 inch tires, black handlebars, and black seat. The value of the theft was estimated at $210.00 USD.
