May 9, 2012: Arrest Notices 5/1/12 - 5/5/12

Traffic Arrest(s):

On 05/01/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 800 block of Sheridan Road for speeding. The driver, Rachael J. Anderson, 23, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer confirmed her Wisconsin Driver's License was suspended. The front seat passenger, Veronica M. Ritter, 28, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer learned she had an active in-state warrant for her arrest. A search was conducted by the Officer which resulted in the seizure of several different types of non-prescribed scheduled medications. After reviewing the facts of this investigation with the Lake County States Attorney's Office, Anderson was charged for Speeding, Driving While License Suspended, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Anderson and Ritter were later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

On 05/04/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1200 block of Lewis Avenue for a lane violation. The driver, Jose L. Cervantes, 27, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety testing. Cervantes was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Cervantes was later released by his signature pending a future court date.

On 05/05/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 3000 block of 9th Street for not having a front Illinois registration plate displayed on the motor vehicle. The driver, Theresa J. Gonzalez, 23, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer learned she had an active in-state warrant for her arrest. Gonzalez was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

On 05/05/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1300 block of Sheridan Road a lane violation. The driver, David P. Ramey, 46, of Zion was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Ramey was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Ramey was later released by his signature pending a future court date.
