June 26, 2012: Arrest Notices 6/19/12 - 6/22/12

Traffic Arrest(s):

On 06/22/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 8th Street and College Avenue for a seat belt violation. The driver, Harry R. Davis, 65, of Wilmont, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer learned his Wisconsin Driver's License was revoked. Davis was issued citations for Failure to Wear Seat Belt and Driving While License Revoked. Davis was later released by a notice to appear pending a future branch court date.

On 06/23/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1100 block of Lewis Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver, Brandon J. Kimble, 30, of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after a search was conducted by the Officer which resulted in the seizure of 9 grams of cannabis and 3 grams of powdered cocaine. Kimble additionally failed field sobriety testing. Kimble was issued citations for No Rear Registration Light, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Kimble was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

On 06/24/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 200 block of Sheridan Road for Speeding. The driver, Xavier Flecha-Ortiz, 26, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Flecha-Ortiz was issued citations for Speeding and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Flecha-Ortiz later was released by a notice to appear pending a future court date.

Aggravated Domestic Battery:

On 06/19/2012, members of the Winthrop Harbor Police Department were dispatched within the 3100 block of 9th Street for a report of a domestic battery. Prior to Officer's arrival, the subject, Matthew L. Peters, 27, of Winthrop Harbor departed from the scene. Upon further investigation, the Officer observed injuries on the victim and the room conditions were consistent to a struggle. This case was later screened by the Lake County States Attorney's Office and an arrest warrant for Aggravated Domestic Battery was obtained against Peters.

Warrant Service:

On 06/21/2012, an Officer made contact with a suspicious subject within the 1800 block of 4th Street. The Officer later identified the subject, Aaron D. Dick, 18, of Beach Park and learned he had an active Lake County arrest warrant for Criminal Sexual Abuse. Dick was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle:

On 06/22/2012, an Officer was dispatched within the 1100 block of Landon Avenue regarding a Burglary to Motor Vehicle report. The complainant advised an unknown subject(s) took a set of 12 inch Rockford-Fozzigate speakers and a Jensen Tallman amplifier. The complaint estimated the value of the theft at approximately $1,000 USD. This incident is pending further investigation.

On 06/22/2012, at Officer was dispatched with the 1100 block of Landon Avenue regarding a Burglary to Motor Vehicle Report. The complainant advised an unknown subject(s) took a pair of yellow gloves, a 4' pocket knife, and approximately $25.00 USD in change. This incident is pending further investigation.
