On 08/18/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1500 block of Sheridan Road for Failure to Signal and a Lane Violation. The driver, Tricia Muccitelli-Hall, 42, of Beach Park was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified her Illinois Driver's License was revoked. A search of Muccitelli-Hall's purse was conducted by the Officer which resulted in the subsequent seizure of non-prescribed CSA scheduled pills, a clear plastic bag containing purported powered cocaine, cannabis, and miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia. Muccitelli-Hall was issued citations for Failure to Signal When Required, Operation of a Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Driving While License Revoked (Felony Enhanced), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts), Muccitelli-Hall was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.
On 08/19/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 300 block of Sheridan Road for an equipment violation. The driver, Samantha M. Hawkins, 21, of Sturtevant, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified her Driver's License was suspended. A search of Hawkin's purse was conducted by the Officer which resulted in the subsequent seizure of a small amount of cannabis. Hawkins was issued citations for No Rear Registration Light, Driving While License Suspended, and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis. Hawkins was released by her signature pending a future branch court date.
On 08/20/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 800 block of Lewis Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver, Javier Rivera, 45, of Willow Lakes, Florida was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his Driver's License was suspended. Rivera was issued a verbal warning for No Rear Registration Light. Rivera was issued a citation for Driving While License Suspended. Rivera was later released by a notice to appear pending a future branch court date.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle:
On 08/18/2012, Officers
were dispatched within the 1200 block of Adams Avenue regarding
a burglary to motor vehicle complaint. The complainant advised
some unknown person(s) entered their unlocked motor vehicle and
took a 50th anniversary Koran war Marine Corps knife and a black
Garmin GPS. This incident is pending further investigation.
