PRESS RELEASE


September 11, 2012: Arrest Notices 9/6/12 - 9/9/12

Traffic Arrest(s):

On 09/06/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1300 block of 7th Street for speeding. The driver, Labaron D. Jackson, 22, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his Illinois Driver's License was suspended. Jackson was issued a verbal warning for Speeding. Jackson was issued citations for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While License Suspended. Jackson was later released by his signature pending a future branch court date.

On 09/07/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 400 block of Sheridan Road for Loud Music. The driver, Kyle D. Pauschert, 21, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his Wisconsin Driver's License was suspended. Pauschert was issued a verbal warning for Loud Music. Pauschert was issued citations for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While License Suspended. Pauschert was released on scene by his signature pending a future court date.

On 09/08/2012, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 300 block of Lewis Avenue for a lane violation. The driver Devonte C. Davis, 20, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer verified his Illinois Driver's License was suspended. The front seat passenger, Shamiya M. McCord, 20 of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after the Officer located nine individually wrapped plastic bags containing crack cocaine on her person. A search of the motor vehicle was conducted by the Officer and two individually wrapped plastic bags of cannabis had been located in the glove compartment inside of the motor vehicle. This case was later reviewed by the Lake County States Attorney's Office after both subjects had been interview. McCord was issued a citation for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Davis was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage, Driving While License Suspended, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with the Intent to Deliver, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver. Davis and McCord were later processed and transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing. .

Theft of Bicycle:
On 09/09/2012, an Officer was dispatched within the 600 block of College Avenue for a Theft of a Bicycle report. The complainant advised some unknown person(s) took their black Verde Eon BMX bicycle which had been parked outside their home. No serial number information was available and/or provided to the Officer. The value of the theft was estimated at approximately $400 USD.
