Arrest Notices 5/1/13

Traffic Arrest(s):

On 04/26/2013, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1100 block of Lewis Avenue for lane and equipment violations. The driver, Ricardo S. Mora, 32, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. A search of Mora's motor vehicle was conducted by the Officer which resulted in the subsequent seizure of cannabis and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Mora was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs. Mora was later released by a notice to appear pending a future court date.

On 04/27/2013, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1500 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation. The driver, David A, Buncak, 51, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Buncak was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (Felony Enhanced). Buncak was later transported to the Lake County Jail pending a bond hearing.

On 04/27/2013, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1400 block of Sheridan Road for a lane violation. The driver, Daren Escalante, 25, of Waukegan was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Escalante was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Escalante was later released by a notice to appear pending a future court date.

On 04/28/2013, an Officer stopped a vehicle within the 1100 block of Lewis Avenue for Speeding and disobeyed a traffic controlled device. The driver, Eric B. Yarbrough, 53, of Kenosha, Wisconsin was subsequently taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Yarbrough was issued citations for Speeding, Disobeyed a Traffic Controlled Device, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over 0.08. Yarbrough was later released by a notice to appear pending a future court date.

Burglary:

On 04/27/2013, Officers were dispatched within the 1800 block of Russell Road related a burglary to a watercraft. The complainant advised some unknown person(s) entered a watercraft without their consent and took 1 standard Horizon VHF Radio, 1 Kenwood am/fm radio with a CD radio, 1 150 quart insulated cooler, 12 Thin Fins stick bait, 14 large Scotty brand releases, and 12 Walleye Boards. The scene was processed by evidence technicians and this incident is pending further investigation.

Criminal Damage to Property:

On 04/27/2013, Officers were dispatched within the 800 block of Holdridge Avenue related to a Criminal Damage to Property report. The complainant advised some unknown person(s) utilized a sharp object to "slash" tires on three separate motor vehicle's which were parked and unattended. This incident is pending further investigation.

The complainant advised some unknown person(s) utilized a sharp object to "slash" tires on two separate motor vehicle's which were parked and unattended. This incident is pending further investigation
