Helpful Information / Construction Guidelines
Planning and Zoning Board (PZB)-
This Community oriented Board
consists of 7 members who are appointed by the Mayor with approval
of the Board of Trustees. One member is appointed Chairperson
on a yearly basis, and members are appointed for a period of
5 years.
The Board meets at Village Hall
every second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. for the purpose
of hearing applications for variations to existing Building Codes
and Ordinances adopted by the Village, requests for annexations
to the Village, developments of new sub divisions, changes to
existing Ordinances and Zoning requirements.
The Board hears each application
presented, pros and cons, takes a vote and then makes the recommendation
to the Village Board which makes the final decision. The Village
Board may change the Planning & Zoning Board's recommendation
with a two-thirds majority vote. The PZB will also recommend,
maintain and implement the Village's Comprehensive Plan.
