Garage Construction
Guidelines & Procedures
1. Two (2) sets of constructions
drawings for ALL construction in Residential Area must be submitted
at time of application for permit.
2. Two (2) sets of constructions
drawings for ALL construction in Business Area must be submitted
at time of application for permit.
3. A request for inspection to
the Village Building Department (872-3846) must be made 24 hours
in advance at the following HOLD POINTS:
- a. Garage Slab Pre-pour
- b. Rough Framing
- c. Rough Electric
- d. Finals
4. Upon approved final inspection,
a Certificate of Compliance and Occupancy Permit will be issued,
signed by the Township Assessor and Village Inspector. Final
inspections must be received by our office no later that 72 hours
prior to closing. The water meter must be obtained and installed
by the Plumber, the Touch pad must be installed by Public Works;
both must be installed prior to final inspection DO NOT OCCUPY
A STRUCTURE OR PORTION OF STRUCTURE BEFORE YOU HAVE RECEIVED
AN OCCUPANY PERMIT. (Ref. W.H. Zoning Ord. 10.5)*
5. It is the Builders responsibility
that all inspections are called for and NO OCCUPANY takes place
without final inspection.
*(Ref. Article 154.999, W.H. Zoning Ordinance) A person who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or resists
the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall
be fined not less that $25 no more than $500. Each day such violation
or failure to comply is permitted to exist after notification
thereof, shall constitute a separate offense.
