Effective March 1, 2008 the Village of Winthrop Harbor entered into a 5-year agreement with Groot Disposal Service for weekly refuse and recycling pickup service.

In addition, Groot provides yard waste pickup service from April 1st through November 30th each year, and leaf vacuum service from mid-October through November 30th each year.

Residents may select from two types of weekly refuse pickup service, a monthly fee option or a tag service option. Program details are provided here.

NOTICE: A price increase of 1.9% took effect on March 1, 2011. The new rates may be viewed here.
