The Village of Winthrop Harbor
provides municipal water and sewer services, with the Village
Clerk's office being responsible for billing and collection of
fees for these services. This page contains information about
our Water & Sewer services, please call the Clerk's office
if you have any questions.

Water/Sewer Fee Schedule -
- For the first 5,000 gallons
of water used, the fee for water is $10.00.
- For the first 6,000 gallons
of water used, the fee for sewer is $9.00.
- For every 1,000 gallons of water
used thereafter, the fee for water is $3.65 and the fee for sewer
is $0.10.
Billing Sections -
- The village is divided into
three Sections. Utility bills are mailed at the beginning of
the month, as follows -

- If your account number begins
with 01, you are in Section 1. If your account number begins
with 02, you are in Section 2, and if your account number begins
with 03, you are in Section 3.
Senior Citizen Discount -
- If you are 65 years of age or
older, you qualify for a Senior Citizen discount on your Utility
bill. Please stop by Village Hall and fill out your Senior Citizen
Discount Application today! (This discount applies to WATER only).

Payments -
- Payments may be made in person
at the Village Clerk's office, or dropped into the convenient
drop-box located just outside the Village Hall entrance. You
may also mail your payment to:

- Utility bill payments are due
20 days after the date the bills are mailed. A pink Disconnection
Notice is mailed on the 21st day to accounts that remain
unpaid, and include a 10% penalty for late payment. Accounts
which are not paid within 15 days after the due date are delared
to be Delinquent. For details on the precedures for Delinquent
Water/Sewer bills, please refer to Ordinance 2008-O-10.
Disconnections -
- Once a Disconnection Notice
has been mailed, payment will only be accepted in the form of
cash, certified check, money order or credit card. No personal
checks are accepted once a Disconnection Notice has been
mailed. Payment in full must be made before the disconnection
date in order for the disconnection to be canceled.

- Once a disconnection has taken
place, at $50 disconnection fee will be added to the account.
The account must be paid in full, including the disconnection
fee, before reconnection of water service can occur. After-hours
payments can be made at the Winthrop Harbor Police Department.
