A PLAN FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - 2010
The Winthrop Harbor Economic
Development Commission (EDC) is an advisory panel comprised
of citizen volunteers who are dedicated to the economic well
being of our Village.

Purpose:
The express purpose of the Economic
Development Commission is to foster the economic development
of Winthrop Harbor in order to improve the quality of life and
overall economic welfare of all its citizens. Its function is
primarily advisory in nature, reporting to the Mayor and Winthrop
Harbor Board of Trustees.
Objective:
To promote the development, establishment
and expansion of commercial, industrial and professional enterprises
in Winthrop Harbor and thereby increasing the value of the non-residential
tax base of the Village.

EDC Meetings:
The EDC meetings are held on
the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at
the Winthrop Harbor Emergency Management Agency (EMA) facility.
Location is 1316 7th Street in Winthrop Harbor. Please click
