Winthrop Harbor TIF District - "The
Triangle"
In an effort to encourage redevelopment
of key land parcels in the downtown business corridor, the Village
of Winthrop Harbor established a TIF District for the area commonly
known as "The Triangle".
This area encompasses approximately
8.3 acres of land at the northeast corner of Sheridan Road and
7th Street at the only entry way to North Point Marina. [view image of

Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
are now being accepted for plans to redevelop this area. For

PROGRAM
The Village of Winthrop Harbor,
recognizing the important contribution businesses make to the
community, has established a unique Business Property Improvement
Grant Program. This program provides local businesses, located
in the downtown business corridor, with financial assistance
by way of a grant to help in making a variety of improvements
to their business property. Funding is available to both property
and business owners. Interested parties may download the program
