The Village of Winthrop Harbor
is pleased to announce the launch of the Blackboard Connect service,
our new village-to-resident notification system. With this service,
village leaders can send personalized voice messages to residents
and businesses within minutes with specific information about
time-sensitive or common-interest issues such as emergencies
and local community matters. The notification system is used
to supplement existing communication methods and augment public
safety/first responder services.
Who can
participate?
All Winthrop Harbor residents
and businesses are encouraged to participate in this FREE service.
We know that your personal information is important, and rest
assured that we will not share it with anyone.
How do
I sign-up?
Virtually all land-line
phone numbers within Winthrop Harbor have already been added
to our initial database. This includes the first, or "main"
number for each residence and business in the Village. Residents
who would like to add their cell phone number, or business owners
who would like to add their home or cell numbers, may do so by
clicking the SIGN UP NOW image above. Each street address (residence
or business) in Winthrop Harbor may have up to 3 phone numbers,
plus another number to receive SMS/text messages, plus up to
2 e-mail addresses in the system. TTY numbers for the hearing
impaired may also be entered. Simply click the SIGN UP NOW image
above to add your additional information.
Please note that if you
have an unlisted land-line phone number, it may not be in our
database. Click the SIGN UP NOW image above to add your number
to the system.

the Notification System, please view our FAQ (frequently asked questions) page.
IMPORTANT: This new notification system
has replaced our E-Alert (e-mail) and TEXT-Alert (Text message)
services.
