| SUBJECT: Water Boil Order |
|
Hello, this is an important message from the Village of Winthrop Harbor. Due to a water-main break, there was a drop in water pressure to below 20 pounds per square inch, and Illinois state law requires that any public water supply must issue a water boil notice when a situation such as this occurs. The area affected by this boil order is inclusive of all water users in the 100 and 200 blocks of Holdridge and Thompson, the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Russell Avenue, and 3rd Street between Garnett and Russell Avenue. Until water sample test results are received on or before Friday, August 13th, the boil order remains in effect as a precautionary measure. You need to bring your drinking water to a boil for one minute before using for consumption. You may contact Village Hall at 847-872-3846 or the Public Works Department at 847-872-5275 for results of the water sampling. You will also receive another message when the boil order has been lifted. Thank you for your time,
and have a nice day. |
